A total of 25,000 backpacks with school supplies will be given out during the event, which will also feature on-site health screenings.
“DAS continues to see 40-60 dogs coming into our building every day and we desperately need the help of our community to get these deserving dogs into loving homes,” said MeLissa Webber, Dallas Animal Services director, in a statement.
