The annual air show at Fort Worth Alliance Airport will have a new name and condensed schedule this year.

The 2022 AllianceTexas Aviation Expo presented by Bell will be Saturday, Oct. 22, at Fort Worth Alliance Airport, according to an Aug. 2 news release from the city of Fort Worth.

The event will include aircraft displays; interactive and educational exhibits; a beer garden; food concessions; and inflatables for kids along with 90 minutes of aerial acts, including the world-renowned U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, the release stated.

In years past, the air show was held over two days and was called the Bell Fort Worth Alliance Air Show. The changes are meant to reflect the growth and activity at the airport, the release stated.

The air show opens at 10 a.m. with the aerial acts set to perform between 4-5:30 p.m. Oct. 22, according to the event website.

Tickets for parking, premium seating and photo tours will be available for purchase only online, the website states. No tickets will be sold at the event. Tickets are expected to go on sale soon, according to the website. Visit www.atxaviationexpo.com to learn more.
