Cadence McShane Construction Company has completed the design-build construction of a new food-grade warehouse in Conroe Park North on behalf of its client, Buske Logistics. Construction began in January, and the facility offers a 145,222-square-foot warehouse and 2,500 square feet of office space with 15 truck docks and two drive-in doors. The 17.95-acre site also includes a truck court and detention basins. Conroe Park North is located at 540 Conroe Park W. Drive, Conroe.
Willis ISD breaks ground on new elementary school
Willis ISD officials broke ground Dec. 10 on Elementary School No. 6, located at 11505 Pine Valley Drive, Conroe. The school is the final project from the district’s 2015 bond and will open in fall 2021. Voters approved the district's new $100.15 million bond in November. Future bond projects include new gyms, classroom additions, a new pre-K center and facility improvements.
The Woodlands Hills unveils Peace Park
The Woodlands Hills, a master-planned community in Conroe and Willis developed by The Howard Hughes Corp., held a ribbon-cutting ceremony Dec. 10 for its newly opened Rick and Roz Dauzat Peace Park. The Howard Hughes Corp. donated the naming rights for the Rick and Roz Dauzat Peace Park through a charitable auction for the Montgomery County Community Foundation.
Rick and Roz Dauzat Peace Park, a 2.5-acre park, features a 1.8-mile forested pathway that winds along a creek. It also offers shaded sitting areas for relaxation and reflection.
