Early voting began April 24 and runs through May 2 for the May 6 general election in Collin County.

Locally, on the ballot are three McKinney City Council races, three McKinney ISD races and a citywide bond proposition for a proposed expansion at McKinney National Airport. McKinney residents will also vote on three races for Collin College board of trustees seats.

McKinney residents can vote at any of the eight locations across the city, which can be found here. Early voting is taking place 8 a.m.-5 p.m. April 24-29 and 7 a.m.-7 p.m. May 1-2.

Below are the candidates on the ballot for voters in McKinney.

City of McKinney:McKinney ISD:
  • MISD Place 4: Amy Dankel (incumbent) and Brittany Hendrickson
  • MISD Place 5: Lynn Sperry (incumbent) and Rachel Elliott
  • MISD Place 6: Stephanie O'Dell (incumbent), Serena Ashcroft and James Westerheid
Citywide bond proposition: “Proposition A: $200,000,000 for a commercial terminal and related improvements at McKinney National Airport.“


Collin College board of trustees:In McKinney, polls will be open from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. for election day May 6. Ten polling locations across the city will be available for McKinney voters on election day, which can be found here.
