26% of Montgomery County households able to buy a home in The Woodlands in early 2025

During the first three months of 2025, 26% of Montgomery County households could afford to buy a median-priced home in The Woodlands, according to the Houston Association of Realtors’ Q1 Housing and Rental Affordability Report released May 8.

The number of Montgomery County households able to afford a home in The Woodlands is up slightly in 2025, as 24% of Montgomery County households were able to afford a home in the first quarter of 2024, according to the report.

The Woodlands is located in both Montgomery County and in Harris County.

In Harris County, the median price of a home during the first quarter of 2025 was $325,000, which 34% of households could afford with the minimum qualifying annual income of $100,400, according to the report.
