1. Full closure of the Dallas North Tollway takes place this weekend, May 19-22 

From May: A full closure of the Dallas North Tollway was expected take place May 19-22 for the construction of a new southbound-to-northbound U-turn lane at Legacy Drive. Closure was then rescheduled to June 16-19 due to bad weather conditions.

2. Expect full closure of the Dallas North Tollway this weekend, March 31-April 3

From March: The Dallas North Tollway fully closed on March 31-April 3 for the North Texas Tollway Authority to demolish the remaining half of the old Tennyson Parkway bridge.

3. See a list of the 80+ businesses slated for Legacy West, The Star in Frisco and Grandscape

From June: Major developments such as Legacy West, The Star in Frisco and Grandscape are expected to bring in more than 80 new businesses to North Texas by 2020.

4. University of Texas regents approve $292.5 million hospital, medical office in Frisco through partnership with Texas Health Resources 

From June: The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center announced that they will jointly operate and pay for the new Texas Health hospital and medical office building planned for Frisco.

5. Three-story building with restaurants, rooftop patios, event center planned for old downtown Frisco

From March: Nack Development announced plans for a three-story building in old downtown Frisco that would feature two rooftop patios, a rooftop park, restaurants, and an event center as well as retail and office space. Frisco City Council has since approved the project.

6. Experts: US 380 to become ‘major artery’ into Frisco 

From March: North Texas transportation officials identified US 380 as the next "major artery" in Frisco.

7. Frisco businesses struggle to hire with high housing costs 

From July: Frisco businesses identify struggles in hiring employees because of rising housing costs.

8. US 380 development and apartments: 5 things to know in Frisco, March 13-17 

From March: Frisco City Council and Frisco Planning and Zoning Commission held a joint work session to discuss a proposed 356-acre, mixed-use development at the southwest corner of US 380 and the Dallas North Tollway. No action has been taken on this project.

9. Double Dip Frozen Custard closes after 16 years

From July: The Double Dip Frozen Custard owner announced the closing of the 16-year-old ice cream shop.

10. Another development planned for old downtown Frisco to include retail, restaurants, residential

From April: Nack Development announced a second project for old downtown Frisco called The Tower at The Rail that would include a two-story building with retail and restaurant space. The development would include eight town houses. The project has not been presented to Frisco City Council or Frisco Planning and Zoning Commission.
