The roughly 40,000-square-foot venue is the largest Dave & Buster’s location in North Texas, Event Sales Manager Jeff York said.
Dave & Buster’s locations offer arcade games, as well as a food and drink menu featuring chicken wings, burgers, cocktails and more, according to its website. The venue also offers screens showing sports including NFL games, UFC matches and other major sporting events, as well as spaces for events including birthday parties and corporate gatherings.
2. D-BAT
The business offers training opportunities, professional coaching and sports camps for baseball and softball, and customers can rent batting cages in 30-minute increments.
3. King Pot
The restaurant offers customizable hot pot meals, according to its website. Guests can choose between a spicy or savory broth and add in a variety of meat options like marbled wagyu, tender beef rolls, streaky pork belly and more, the website states.
4. Swrl Cinnamon Roll Factory
The business sells ice cream and cinnamon rolls, per its website.
5. Tyler Kingston Mercantile Men’s Shop
The business offers men’s clothing including tops, bottoms and outerwear as well as accessories and hats. The shop also offers golf-themed products, per its website. The shop is a concept from Tyler Kingston Mercantile, which also has a downtown McKinney location offering clothing and goods for women.

6. Collin County NeighborHub
Nonprofit officials and community leaders held a groundbreaking ceremony Aug. 4 for the 40,000-square-foot facility, which will house several different nonprofits that serve people across Collin County including One Heart McKinney, Sanchez Charities, Streetside Showers and more. The facility will be able to accommodate up to 18 nonprofits in total and each partner will serve a distinct need and deliver wraparound support for every individual who visits the hub, according to its website.

7. CommonGood Medical
The faith-based nonprofit organization, which offers free primary medical care to eligible uninsured and low-income Collin County residents, is now operating in a roughly 9,000-square-foot space with six exam rooms, CommonGood Medical Director of Development Daniel Moreno said. The organization has offered care from a roughly 4,000-square-foot space at 103 E. Lamar St. in downtown McKinney since 2019.

8. Mom & Popcorn
The local sweets store in downtown McKinney celebrated its 20th anniversary on July 22, co-owner Wendy Rodgers said. The store sells more than 50 flavors of popcorn that are made in-house, Rodgers said. Flavors include blueberry, buffalo ranch, caramel and kettle, according to its website. The store also sells limited edition flavors that are changed throughout the year. Mom and Popcorn also sells nostalgic candy, vintage sodas, fudge, truffles and macarons.
9. RaceTrac
The company is spending nearly $20 million to remodel 30 stores in North Texas, according to a company news release.
The remodeled stores began reopening in May and will continue to reopen through the end of the year.
