Arcade and restaurant chain Dave & Buster’s is now open.
The roughly 40,000-square-foot venue is the largest Dave & Buster’s location in North Texas, Event Sales Manager Jeff York said.
“One of the largest Dave & Buster’s in the metroplex ... we’re so excited,” McKinney Mayor Bill Cox said at a July 27 ribbon cutting event. “Welcome to McKinney.”
The details
Dave & Buster’s locations offer arcade games, as well as a food and drink menu featuring chicken wings, burgers, cocktails and more, according to its website. The venue also offers screens showing sports including NFL games, UFC matches and other major sporting events, as well as spaces for events including birthday parties and corporate gatherings.
“We have wonderful latest and greatest games,” General Manager Reschelle Karanja said. “We are so excited to be here in the community.”
The context
Estimated construction costs for the McKinney location totaled about $8.1 million, according to a Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation filing. The business is part of the second phase of the Plaza at Fort Buckner development, a project by development firm the Seitz Group that includes businesses such as Torchy’s Tacos, Frost Bank, Piada and more.
