A few candidates have filed to run for three League City City Council positions following the filing period opening July 22.

Residents who meet certain criteria will have the ability to file through Aug. 19, according to the city’s website.

The specifics

According to the city's website, the following three candidates have applied to be on the Nov. 5 ballot:If no other candidates file, none of the races would be competitive in November.

Those interested in running for the positions should fill out a ballot application and submit it via email to [email protected]. Residents can also file applications by mail or drop them off in person at City Hall, 300 W. Walker St., League City.
