Check out these five projects being approved in Prosper and Celina that have multifamily components.

Prosper

1. Livano Prosper

Project: Livano Prosper, located in the town’s downtown area on Fifth Street, has more than 300 units with a variety of one- to three-bedroom floor plans.


Update: The development is expected to open for new residents sometime this fall.

2. Pradera

Project: Located across 34.7 acres along the Dallas North Tollway just south of Frontier Parkway, Pradera is a mixed-use development that will include 730 multifamily units, office buildings and retail.

Update: Prosper Town Council members approved the Pradera project during an Aug. 22, 2023, meeting. Town staff during the meeting said the project’s multiple phases will be fully built in January 2043.

3. Coleman Street development

Project: This two-story development is located on 0.3 acres at the intersection of Coleman Street and Sixth Street near downtown Prosper. It consists of a shared, two-story building with four multifamily units positioned above office and retail space.

Update: The project was approved at an April 16 Prosper Town Council meeting after the applicant had addressed some concerns from town staff, including the allowed retail uses and parking plans. More construction information and updates are expected to be revealed in the future.


Celina

4. Ramble by Hillwood

Project: While most of the land is earmarked for single-family homes, about 18 acres of the Ramble by Hillwood neighborhood’s 1,380 acres are designated for future multifamily units. The neighborhood, which will be located 2 miles north of downtown Celina, is owned by Hillwood Communities.


Update: The project was announced in January, and development should break ground before the end of the year.

5. Oklahoma Drive development

Project: The mixed-use development is a 66-acre project that will be built at the intersection of Oklahoma Drive and Glendenning Parkway. Included in the development is 625 multifamily units, a climate-controlled storage facility, a gas station and commercial spaces. The project will include moving Oklahoma Drive slightly to help with future congestion.


Update: Celina City Council members approved the project—and the road change—during a June 11 meeting.
