2 Sistah’s Gifts and More, an Afro-centric art and home decor shop, opened Sept. 1 at 1116 S. Stemmons Freeway, Ste. 128, Lewisville. Sisters Janet Dirden and Carolyn Blackmon opened up the shop as a way to bring more diversity to the area and to make Afro-centric art more accessible, Dirden said.

“We opened the shop so that we could celebrate African history,” Dirden said. “More than just one month out of the year.”
