Dripping Springs ISD will not hold school Friday, Feb. 3.

The district announced Thursday, Feb. 2 that school operations would resume as normal on Feb. 3, but have canceled due to power and network outages at campuses as well as significant debris on-site. The district announced after-school events Feb. 3 would be held on a case-by-case basis.

Maintenance, facility and administration teams will work to clean campuses of debris, and restore power and internet by Monday, Feb. 6.

School has been closed since Tuesday, Jan. 31, and all after-school activities were canceled Monday, Jan. 30, due to the winter storm.

The National Weather Service expired the winter storm warning for Hays County at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 2.
