Urban Picnic will close in Round Rock on July 31, owners Liz Huffstutler and Shelley Matcha confirmed in a July 14 email. Located at 3810 Gattis School Road, Ste. 106, Round Rock, the restaurant first opened in October 2010. In the email, Huffstutler and Matcha cited coronavirus-related revenue losses as cause for the permanent closure.

"With 75% of our sales emanating from corporate entities and schools, the negative impact of the coronavirus on our business has become insurmountable," Huffstutler and Matcha said in the email. "We want to thank this incredible community for all the support over the years."
