Hutto City Council will hear an update and consider funding for the reconstruction and repavement of Live Oak Street at its June 17 meeting.

Currently, Live Oak Street has uneven pavement and cuts in the road from past utility work. The project was originally created to upgrade the infrastructure with sidewalks, a curb and gutter along with a storm drain system from Park Avenue to West Street, according to the meeting agenda. While 50% of the water line and some water services from North FM 1660 to West have been completed, work had to stop during the pandemic.

City staff are expected to recommend accepting the main project bid of just under $173,000 to the council. An additional recommendation for a contingency and add alternate would make the total project around $325,000, according to the agenda.
