According to a press release from the city of New Braunfels, the employee was last at the center on June 29 and is now in quarantine at home.
All center employees have been asked to self-quarantine as well, and city staff will contact any volunteers who may have been in the facility and may have been exposed to the virus.
Following a sanitization of the facility, the center is scheduled to reopen on Monday, July 13.
The library portion of the building will continue with modified hours, Tues.-Fri from noon-5 p.m. and Sat. 11 a.m.-2 p.m., and the community center will be only be open for scheduled classes.
The center was previously closed Friday, July 3 in observance of the Fourth of July holiday.
