The haunted house with horror-film-like stage production is moving venues this year after 11 years at the former Highland Mall. Folks can head to 2632 Ridgepoint Drive, Austin, to get spooked starting Friday and ending Nov. 12.

Rattletree Glow Party & Grand Opening
The Rattletree School of Marimba hosts the event, which gives the business an opportunity to unveil its renovated space. The festival-style weekend of glow parties features stage shows with light and musical performers. The studio provides lessons in marimba, a xylophone-like instrument used predominantly in Africa and Central America. 7-11 p.m. $5-$20 (sliding scale), $40 (VIP pass). Funny or Die presents Oddball Comedy & Curiosity Festival 2016

Texas Craft Brewers Festival
Featuring more than 65 Texas craft breweries and nearly 200 craft beers, the annual festival is the state’s largest craft beer event focused exclusively on Texas brews. 36th Annual Fall Pecan Street Festival
The two-day arts festival features local and national artisans who sell wares in a variety of forms, including metal, wood, fiber, clay, leather, glass and stone. Nearly 50 musical performers and 30 food vendors are also present at the twice-yearly Austin tradition. 11 a.m.-10 p.m. (Sat.), 11 a.m.-8 p.m. (Sun.). Free. Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure
The 5K race celebrates breast cancer survivors and patients, remembers lost loved ones and raises funds to support the fight against breast cancer. Participants can enter as individuals or in teams. Teams choose a fundraising goal at registration time. Event activities include a healthy living expo, children’s area and a survivor/patient parade. 6:30 a.m. (race site opens), 7:15 a.m. (timed runners start), 7:30 a.m. (untimed runners and walkers start). $10 (age 3 and younger), $25 (ages 4-12 and breast cancer patients and survivors), $30 (students ages 13-21), $35 (age 22 and older untimed), $45 (age 22 and older timed), $75 (receive race T-shirt and bib without participating in the race).
