Sugar Land-based Dumpling World opened its first Austin-area spot April 20.

Xiuyan Chen and Yuchi Shu, along with the Shu family, opened the casual Chinese eatery in the Triangle.

Dumpling World offers a variety of handcrafted dumplings prepared either pan-fried, steamed, boiled or in soups, with a range of fillings with or without meat, chef Hongyao Zhang said.

Other options include noodles and fried rice dishes, chow mein, potstickers and more.

Zhang said the owners chose to bring Dumpling World to Austin because of the community's love of different food options.
