Austin-based startup Casata is slated to break ground on its third venture—Casata Bastrop—in 2025.

The development will be located on North Main Street and Sayers Road, although no official address has been established.

The background

The lifestyle community developer launched its first microhome community—Casata Austin—in 2022 and broke ground on its second community in San Marcos in May.

The details

The plan is for the development to have 150 homes ranging from 500-1,000 square feet.

Casata’s CEO Aaron Levy said they have one- and two-bedroom homes planned but are exploring three-bedroom options as well.

“We want to bring a new living experience to Bastrop that will serve the growing workforce as employers continue to move into the area,” Levy said in an email to Community Impact.

Looking ahead

Although the microhome community is in early planning stages, the developers are looking to break ground in January 2025 and have homes available to lease by spring 2026.
