Tiffany Gibson received the majority vote during the city of Schertz runoff election on Dec. 9, meaning she will be the new City Council Place 4 seat holder.

The details

Tiffany Gibson, who works in finance and previously ran for City Council Place 2 in 2022, and Michael Armstrong, a system's engineer and U.S. Air Force veteran, were the top two vote getters for the City Council Place 4 seat during the Nov. 7 election.

With neither candidate reaching the majority needed, a runoff election was held on Dec. 9.

Unofficial election results show Gibson taking the majority vote with 259 votes, or 59.68%. Armstrong received 175, or 40.32% of votes.


What’s next?

Following the canvassing of votes, Gibson will be sworn in to city council, filling the seat held by Michael Dahle. Gibson will serve on the council until 2026. All results are unofficial until canvassed.
