Fire Station 7, the seventh fire station in New Braunfels, is now open and operating in the city.

The details

The station is now fully operational, providing fire and EMS services to the community, including prescription drug disposal services, according to a May 17 news release from the city.

The construction of the 15,000-square-foot station began in August 2022 and cost $9.7 million, according to the release.

The station includes:
  • Four bays for fire apparatus, including a fire truck, squad vehicle, ambulance, and swift water rescue boat
  • Overnight living quarters for up to 13 firefighters
  • An on-site gym
  • Kitchen facilities
“Fire Station 7 enhances our regional response profile to an area of our city that is seeing significant growth,” said New Braunfels Fire Chief Ruy Lozano in the release. “I am thankful to our elected officials and city leadership for investing in our community’s public safety with this robust fire station, along with the additional firefighters needed to staff it.”

An uncoupling ceremony will be held May 29 and a grand opening will be held in the fall.
