Project: Construction will build two lanes of Laud Howell Parkway between Trinity Falls Parkway and Lake Forest Drive in McKinney. Private development firm Republic Property Group is constructing Lanes 1 and 2 of the roadway, and the city will construct Lanes 3 and 4.
Update: McKinney City Council approved a design contract with LJA Engineering in June, and design is underway. Construction of Lanes 1 and 2 by Republic Property Group is already underway.
- Timeline: Design is expected to take about 12 months to complete. Construction of Lanes 3 and 4 is expected to begin in 2028.

2. G Avenue paving and water improvements
Project: Crews will replace a waterline and pavement on G Avenue between 14th and 15th streets in Plano. Improvements will also add on-street parking, enhance sidewalks and update traffic signals.
Update: Community Investment Project Engineering Manager Clay Lipscomb said the project is in its final design phase and construction will start in late 2026.

3. Grapevine signal replacement
Project: 45 aging signal switches will be replaced across throughout Grapevine.
Update: Grapevine City Council approved funding for the project at a July 7 meeting.

Ongoing projects
4. Custer Parkway reconstruction
Project: Custer Parkway is being reconstructed from Campbell Road to Renner Road, including water and sewer replacement and sidewalk repairs in Richardson.
Update: Starting July 9, traffic on Custer Parkway from Campbell Road to the railroad tracks just north of Cap Rock Drive has moved to the newly constructed northbound lanes as work shifts to the southbound lanes, according to a city news release.

- Cost: $23.1 million
- Funding source: city of Richardson
Project: The construction includes an updated four-lane road from I-35 to Misty Redwood Trail in Fort Worth with traffic signal improvements at Harmon Road and Golden Heights Road along with 10-foot shared-use paths in each direction, drainage improvements and water line improvements.
Update: According to Fort Worth's website, the construction project is ahead of schedule. The contractor is working on the sidewalks, median and one driveway on Golden Heights Road. Traffic signals have been completed and will start flashing later this summer.
