Newly constructed northbound lanes on Custer Parkway in Richardson are now open.
What you need to know
Starting July 9, northbound traffic on Custer from Campbell Road to the railroad tracks just north of Cap Rock Drive will be moved to the newly constructed lanes, according to a city news release.
Southbound traffic will also be shifted to the new northbound lanes as work shifts to the southbound lanes.
One lane of travel in each direction will remain open at all times, according to the release.
The project is funded by the city’s 2021 bond.
Another thing
Pavement replacement work is continuing on Custer between Pleasant Valley Lane and Renner Road. Crews are reconstructing the southbound lanes near Aldridge Elementary School.
The goal is to complete the work before the start of the Plano ISD school year, the release states. The full project is expected to be complete by the end of this year.
