Howe Road reconstruction

Project: Concrete streets with curbs, gutter drainage and sidewalks will be implemented from Lois Street to Marshall Creek Road.

Update: The city is currently waiting on designs for reconstruction.

Shady Grove Road

Project: A detour started July 7 to repair a portion of Shady Grove Road between Rapp Road and Keller Smithfield Road. The original project was completed in June 2024, but staff and residents noticed cracks on the road. The eastbound lane, near 7210 Shady Grove, needs additional repairs to stabilize the soil under the roadway and account for the effects of nearby tree roots, according to the city’s Facebook page.

Update: A detour from Shady Grove Road will go to North Tarrant Parkway and Bear Creek Parkway. The work should take about three weeks from the July 7 start date, according to a social media post.

Ray White Road widening improvements

Project: Ray White Road will be widened to a four-lane divided road between Mirage Drive and the bridge over Bear Creek. The project includes adding sidewalks; improving street lights; modifying the roundabout on Ray White Road and Park Vista Boulevard; and making drainage improvements.

Update: The main lanes have been paved and roundabout modifications were finished in May, according to the city of Fort Worth's website. In addition, installation of street lights and traffic lights at Wall Price Keller Road and Ray White Road is underway. There will be various lane closures through Dec. 31.

Golden Triangle Boulevard

Project: The construction includes an updated four-lane road from I-35 to Misty Redwood Trail with traffic signal improvements at Harmon Road and Golden Heights Road along with 10-foot shared-use paths in each direction, drainage improvements and water line improvements.

Update: According to Fort Worth's website, the construction project is ahead of schedule. The contractor is working on the sidewalks, median and one driveway on Golden Heights Road. Traffic signals have been completed and will start flashing later this summer.

• Cost: $12 million
• Funding source: city of Fort Worth

Pate Orr Road

Project: The city of Keller is replacing deteriorating water lines along Pate Orr Road as part of a citywide effort plan for old water mains.

Update: The paving of the road is complete, but the striping still needs to be finished, said Rachel Reynolds, Keller’s communications and public engagement manager. She said the striping work would start July 14.

• Cost: $3.18 million
• Funding sources: city of Keller, Texas Water Development Board

Completed

North Beach Street and Champions View Parkway traffic signal

Project: The work includes the installation of a new traffic signal with a new pedestrian sidewalk and crosswalks, Americans with Disabilities Act-compliant ramps and accessible pedestrian signals.

Update: The project is complete, according to state filing documents.

• Cost: $2 million
• Funding source: city of Fort Worth
