Upcoming projects
Bee Cave Parkway and Bee Cave Road pedestrian improvements
Project: Bee Cave Parkway and Bee Cave Road in Bee Cave will undergo pedestrian improvements including the construction of signals, crosswalks, sidewalks and ADA curb ramps.
Update: The final package of design documents will be completed in August.
- Timeline: Construction is expected to begin in March 2027
- Cost: $1.06 million
- Funding source: Texas Department of Transportation and the Bee Cave Development Corporation
Kelly Lane Phase 3
Project: The road in Pflugerville will be widened to four lanes from Moorlynch Avenue to Weiss Lane.
Update: Full utility design was completed in May. If utility relocations continue as scheduled, the project will go out to bid in April 2027.
- Timeline: completion expected in March 2028
- Cost: $36 million
- Funding source: city bond funds
Parmer Lane, Ranch Trails intersection improvements
Project: Improvements are planned at the Parmer Lane and Ranch Trails Boulevard intersection in Cedar Park, including added inbound and outbound turn lanes to improve traffic flow and support future dual left-turn movements on southbound Parmer Lane.
Update: Design is complete, but the project is on hold and will resume once construction of a nearby development begins.

- Cost: $1 million
- Funding source: 2022 transportation bond
Ongoing projects
Austin Avenue vehicular bridges
Project: This project includes reconstruction of two vehicular bridges crossing the San Gabriel River in Georgetown.
Update: The southbound Austin Avenue bridge decks were demolished starting in early June, and reconstruction will take approximately two months. The contractor will then do the northbound bridge decks.
- Timeline: 2024-27
- Cost: $12.8 million
- Funding sources: city of Georgetown, developer fees
San Gabriel Parkway extension
Project: The city of Leander-led road program will extend the San Gabriel Parkway eastward from Isaias Drive to West Ronald Reagan Boulevard, between the Palmera Ridge and Palmera Bluff subdivisions, as an arterial roadway.
Update: Construction is ongoing; a traffic signal at San Gabriel Parkway and Ronald Reagan Boulevard is expected to be operational in 2026.
- Timeline: January 2025-February 2027
- Cost: $7 million
- Funding source: city of Leander certificates of obligation bonds
South Chisholm Trail Road
Project: The city of Round Rock is reconstructing Chisholm Trail Road from Sam Bass Road to RM 620, with drainage, pedestrian and lighting improvements.
Update: The discovery of utility lines within the project has delayed its completion from this summer 2026 to fall 2026.
- Timeline: roadway completion expected mid-fall 2026
- Cost: $4.26 million for construction
- Funding source: Type B sales tax revenue
