Upcoming projects
Project: The road will be widened to four lanes from Moorlynch Avenue to Weiss Lane.
Update: Full utility design was completed in May. If utility relocations continue as scheduled, the project will go out to bid in April 2027.

Funding source: city bond funds
Project: The road will be reconstructed with pavement, curb, drainage, sidewalk and streetlight improvements.
Update: The project was anticipated to bid in May.
Cost: $3.2 million

Project: The road will be widened to three lanes and extended to connect to SH 45.
Update: The city received a 60% design plan draft in June.

Ongoing projects
Project: This project will add one managed high-occupancy vehicle lane to I-35 from US 290 East to SH 45, with a diverging diamond intersection at Wells Branch Parkway.
Update: Work is underway to widen frontage roads from Grand Avenue Parkway to SH 45.
Timeline: March 2023-early 2029
Cost: $606 million
