The Cedar Park Chamber of Commerce has been recognized for its efforts to rebrand itself to benefit businesses throughout the city.

The chamber received first place in the state for its “Seeding Growth” rebranding campaign during the Texas Chamber of Commerce Executives’ Annual Excellence Awards held June 21. Local chambers of commerce from across the state of Texas gathered in League City for the event, and the awards honor organizations for efforts in marketing, communications and media outreach.

“As an extremely small staff, we all work very hard on our events and campaigns,” said Lyndee Matthews, Cedar Park Chamber of Commerce vice president. “To have that hard work recognized state-wide is a great honor and we are very excited to have won.”

In January 2016, the Cedar Park Chamber of Commerce—guided by Wright Creative Group and a focus group of 15 local business representatives—began the process of rebranding the chamber.

“We wanted to get away from our outdated logo and go with something more modern that reflects our current mission and our position within the city of Cedar Park,” said Tony Moline, Cedar Park Chamber of Commerce president and CEO.

Guided by Wright Creative Group, the focus group developed a new theme and logo based upon the tagline “Connection, Collaboration, and Community.” The logo that was developed used Cedar Park colors and is a seed that represents how the chamber brings together local businesses to plant “seeds of the future.”

“Our new logo represents local business growth,” Moline said. “And from that business growth comes community growth which makes Cedar Park a great place to ‘Live, Work and Play.’”
