What we reported Peli Peli was scheduled to open in December at LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch across from Torchy’s Tacos. The restaurant specializes in South African cuisine, serving a variety of steak, chicken and seafood dishes.

The latest Though originally scheduled to open in December, the Katy location has experienced some permitting delays and is expected to open by April. Demolition has been completed, and construction will begin soon.

What’s next The company plans to open a location in the heart of downtown Austin this summer.
