1. Wade Settlement
A high-end townhouse development is under construction on the southeast corner of John Hickman Parkway and Parkwood Boulevard. The 31-acre development will include 306 three-story units, a 3.5-acre private park and an amenities center. The first lots will open in summer 2017. The homebuilders are Megatel Homes.
2. West Towne Center
This shopping center will be anchored by a Sprouts Farmers Market at the northwest corner of Eldorado and Teel parkways. The center will be 68,000 square feet and will include retail buildings on either side of the grocery store. The property also includes a RaceTrac gas station that is already in service. The shopping center is expected to be complete by the end of this year.
3. Office building
A two-story building with office and retail space is under construction on the southeast corner of Lebanon Road and FM 423. The first floor will be for retail, and the second floor will be office space. The two-story structure will have 22,720 square feet of space. Construction is expected to be complete by September.
4. Retail strip center
A retail strip center will break ground in January 2017 at the southeast corner of Eldorado and Teel parkways. The center will have 7,000 square feet of space and is expected to have medical offices, nail salons and other local neighborhood businesses. The strip center is expected to be complete by June 2017.

This is the first phase of a three-phase townhome and apartment project that first broke ground in January 2015. It is expected to be complete in 2017. The Kathryn is on 160 acres of land within the Canals at Grand Park and will add 365 units to the neighborhood. The overall project will have a total of 1,068 units. The Kathryn is now open for preleasing.

The two-story office building at 6371 Preston Road is near completion, and tenant leasing is in progress. Some shell construction is left on the building, but tenants will begin occupying the building in late fall. The 23,000-square-foot building, which broke ground in summer 2015, is Phase 2 of the JC Professional Center.
8. Holiday Inn & Suites
A new Holiday Inn & Suites is under construction at 7400 McCandless Way on four acres. The hotel is near the intersection of Warren Parkway and the Dallas North Tollway, and near the Duke Bridges office park. The hotel will be five stories with 122 rooms. An exact opening date has not been determined. A Holiday Inn Express is located on Parkwood Boulevard less than a mile from the future Holiday Inn location.
