Frisco Crossing is an 83-acre development on the southwest corner of US 380 and FM 423. The development is planned to have retail—including big box retail—restaurants, multifamily living, single-family living and green space.
Council Member Will Sowell said he liked the different aspects of the mixed-use development including the open space and the restaurant features.
"I do think there's a lot to like here," he said. "I think this is truly a mixed-use development. It has the single-family aspect of it. It's got restaurants... Not only do they have patios, but they have a water feature nearby also, and they have green space for the kids to run around in."
Council Member Bob Allen also said he liked the design of the proposed development.
"I think it falls into the overall plan of the city well," he said. "... I think it's going to be a signature development, and I can't think of anything better to go there."
Frisco Crossing will be across from the new Wal-Mart Supercenter development on the southeast corner of FM 423 and US 380. On that same corner, there will also be a Taco Bell, Starbucks, Raising Cane’s, Chick-fil-A and Whataburger.
