ORIGINAL STORY — A cold front that moved through the area on Sunday brought with it a much-needed drenching rain, but by daybreak temperatures fell into the 20s turning the next round of precipitation to sleet.

The Grapevine-Colleyville ISD and Carroll ISD have closed all schools and facilities along with most non-essential governmental facilities.

Municipal offices in Colleyville are open today, but trash and recycling pickup will not occur today.

Municipal offices in Southlake are also open, but all other facilities are closed.

As of 10 a.m., the worst of the wintery precipitation is over; the sleet will diminish over the course of the afternoon before tapering off all together. However, temperatures are expected to remain below freezing until Tuesday, so any accumulation may will stick around until tomorrow.
