Viva Aerobus added a new flight in December and will launch a new destination next year out of Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport.

The gist

The Mexico-based airline, headquartered at Monterrey International Airport in Apodaca, Nuevo Leon, added a new flight to Guadalajara International Airport in Guadalajara, Jalisco, on Dec. 3.

The company will add a new route to Santiago de Querétaro on April 2, according to a news release. Per the company website, flights to Querétaro International Airport in Santiago de Querétaro will start at $97 each way.

The flights will take place Tuesdays and Sundays on Viva Aerobus' Airbus A320 jets, according to the news release.


What else?

Viva also offers flights from DFW Airport to Mexico City and Monterrey. The flights to Guadalajara now run on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays with an additional flight day.

“This new service is part of our expansion strategy in the U.S.,” Javier Suarez, Viva executive vice president and chief planning and alliances officer, said in the news release. “This new service is a new opportunity for more Mexican travelers to enjoy one of the biggest cities in Texas and will also allow Texan tourists to discover the colonial beauty of Querétaro.”
