A number of local governmental entities have earned top financial transparency marks from the Texas Comptroller's Office. Collin County, Collin County Community College, the city of Frisco and Frisco ISD earned the Platinum Award as part of the Comptroller's Leadership Circle Program.
The new award in the program is the highest achievement possible and recognizes local governments that meet standards including the posting of budgets, financial reports and check registers online as well as posting detailed bond debt summary information.
A total of 19 cities, counties and school districts throughout the state earned the distinction.
