Cy-Fair ISD school board position 3 candidate Darcy Mingoia is expected to win narrowly with 46.52 percent of total votes against incumbent Bill Morris and challenger Lilian Wanjagi with 1,055 of 1,064 precincts reporting, according to unofficial results.
"I'm excited to have the opportunity to work with the team of eight and preserve and increase the quality of our district and move our district forward," Mingoia said.
Morris has secured 36.99 percent—or 36,927—of the votes compared to 46,431 for Mingoia. Wanjagi trails with 16,460 votes.
Kevin Hoffman is poised to win position 4 over candidate Angela Wesley with 61.27 percent of the votes, according to unofficial results.
Hoffman has 60,912 votes while Wesley has 38,499 votes.
"I always felt I was qualified because of my involvement and history within the community," Hoffman said.
The board of trustees makes policy for the district and sets goals for the administration. Candidates are elected for staggered three-year terms.
Mingoia is the executive director for the Lone Star College Foundation and served as president of the Cy-Fair Houston Chamber of Commerice from 1998-2007. She has lived in Cy-Fair for nearly 35 years.
Mingoia said she felt the campaign process was a positive experience that will help her as a board member.
"I knew the campaign would take a lot," she said. "The more people you talk to, the more viewpoints and the more information you get, which will make you a better board member."
Hoffman has been a resident of Cy-Fair since 2008. He also lived in the district from 1990-1994 as a graduate student. Hoffman works as deputy executive director for the Harris County Sports and Convention Corporation.

With 793 of 1,064 precincts reporting, Darcy Mingoia remains in the lead for Cy-Fair ISD board of trustees position 3 with 46.66 percent of the votes over Lillian Wanjagi and incumbent Bill Morris, according to unofficial results.
Morris has 35,359 votes—or 36.9 percent—while Mingoia has secured a total of 44,713 votes. Wanjagi trails with 15,794 votes.
Position 4 candidate Kevin Hoffman remains in a commanding lead over Angela Wesley with 61.55 percent of the votes.
Wesley has obtained 36,692 total votes compared to Hoffman's 58,732 votes.

Darcy Mingoia remains in a narrow lead for position 3 over incumbent Bill Morris with 46.19 percent of the votes with 129 of 1,064 precincts reporting, according to unofficial results.
Morris has obtained 25,053 votes, or 37.66 percent while challenger Lillian Wanjagi trails with 16.16 percent, or 10,749 votes. Mingoia leads with 30,727 votes.
According to unofficial results, Kevin Hoffman has taken a commanding lead over Angela Wesley with 62.29 percent of the votes with 129 of 1,064 precincts reporting.
Wesley has secured 24,984 votes while Hoffman has recieved 41,270 votes.

Cy-Fair ISD school board position 3 candidate Darcy Mingoia is holding the lead with 46.15 percent of early and absentee votes against incumbent Bill Morris with 37.69 percent and Lilian Wanjagi with 16.16 percent, according to unofficial results.
Position 4 candidate Kevin Hoffman has a lead over candidate Angela Wesley with 62.33 percent of the early votes while Wesley has 37.67 percent.

Incumbent Bill Morris is defending his position on the school board after finishing his first term. He currently works as community relations manager for ARAMARK Education and has lived in the district for about six years.
Kevin Hoffman is running for position 4 and has been a resident of Cy-Fair since 2008. He also lived in the district from 1990-1994 as a graduate student. Hoffman works as deputy executive director for the Harris County Sports and Convention Corporation.
Angela Wesley is also vying for position 4. She works as a project coordinator for Rosemount Analytical Inc. and has five children attending schools within the district. Wesley has lived in Cy-Fair for nearly three years.
All results are unofficial until canvassed.
