The Cipher Lounge
The business offers two immersive escape room experiences as well as a cocktail lounge, according to a news release. The Cipher Lounge’s signature cocktail menu includes drinks like Rose of Margo, which is made with vodka, passion fruit and raspberry, per its website.
XO GiGi
The business offers art supplies, artisan goods, books, cards, gifts and more, founder Gabrielle Parton said. XO GiGi also offers art classes and workshops for individuals of all skill levels, and features art from local artists in its gallery.
Zalat Pizza
The restaurant has 31 locations across Texas and offers a variety of specialty pizzas, such as the Sweet Revenge, which is made with bacon onion jam, housemade hot honey, mozzarella, salami, crushed red pepper and fresh basil, its website states. Zalat Pizza’s menu also includes salads, wings, breadsticks and desserts.

121 Commerce Park
Development firm VanTrust Real Estate held a groundbreaking ceremony in August for 121 Commerce Park's first phase, which will include more than 512,000 square feet of Class A industrial space across two buildings, according to a company news release. Both buildings can accommodate single- or multi-tenant configurations. VanTrust officials are also planning construction of an additional 250,000 square feet of space as part of the project’s second phase.
Lite-On
Lite-On Technology Corp. officials held a groundbreaking ceremony in August for the company's planned 650,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in McKinney. The $919 million project is expected to create 600 jobs over the next several years. The new campus will support a range of manufacturing, operational and engineering activities.

The Samaritan Inn
A new outdoor recreation amenity has opened for residents of the nonprofit comprehensive housing stability program. Construction on a donated pickleball court began in May and was completed in July, Chief Development Officer Kellie Maynard said. The court and pickleball supplies were donated by Impact Activities and the Courts of McKinney Tennis and Pickleball Center, and the project was also supported by JOOLA, Grossman Law Office, Altec Styslinger Foundation, Prime Courts and PPA Pickleball.
Relocations
Cadence Cyclery
The business, which is currently located at 119 S. Tennessee St., is moving to a new downtown McKinney location, said Jackson Eaker, who handles operations and marketing for Cadence Cyclery. The business offers bike service and repair, rentals, custom-built bikes and more, per its website.
In the news
Long John Silver’s
The restaurant reopened Aug. 22 following a closure and renovation, a company news release states. Upgrades at the remodeled restaurant include self-order kiosks, a streamlined layout and other new design elements, per the release.
VIO Med Spa
Two existing VIO Med Spa locations in McKinney and Richardson are under new ownership, according to an Aug. 31 news release. Former Meta and McKinsey executive Joseph Luchenta acquired both locations in the second quarter of 2026. The spas offer a variety of services for men and women, including skin rejuvenation treatments, body contouring, dermal fillers and hair restoration.

El Fenix Mexican Restaurant
The restaurant is temporarily closed for repairs, signage at the location states. El Fenix Mexican Restaurant serves Tex-Mex cuisine including quesadillas, enchiladas, tacos, burritos, fajitas and more, according to its menu.
