Cinemark 10 in south Plano closed for renovations

Cinemark Movies 10, located at 1818 Coit Road, Plano, closed for renovations on July 28 following the last showing of the day. The movie theater will remain closed until mid-to-late November. The west Plano location will remain open during the south Plano location’s renovation. 972-985-1394. www.cinemark.com

  1. My understanding from an employee I asked this last weekend, they will reopen as a “value-priced” cinema, like in McKinney. It will be cheaper than the normal Cinemarks but not as cheap as they were charging. The McKinney location charges $6-9 for first-run shows.

  2. I think this isn’t good.
    I used that theater because I sometimes miss the 1st run movies. Also, Because the cost is $1.50~3.0 a ticket – so when you have kids or just want to watch a movie on the cheap – the place was there.

    If Paying $7~15 for a ticket wasn’t a non-issue to begin with, then why there would be NO demand for a $1~3 theater.
    Oh well.
    Wait another 2-4 months and it’ll be on Cable.
