Houston-based Texas Children’s Hospital continued its expansion into the Austin area with a new pediatric specialty care clinic in North Austin on Oct. 25.

The 51,000-square-foot facility at 8611 N. MoPac, Austin, offers nationally ranked care in several specialties, including cardiology, ophthalmology, pulmonology, and allergy and immunology, according to a news release.

In the coming months the facility will add care in endocrinology, gastroenterology, dermatology, plastic surgery, optometry, neurology and urology.

Texas Children’s Hospital currently has hospital, clinic and urgent care locations throughout Houston and the surrounding area, including Katy and The Woodlands. This is the fourth Austin-area location for the hospital group, following the opening of a pediatric urgent care clinic on South Lamar Boulevard in March and the acquisition of two pediatric practices in North Central and Southwest Austin in July.
