According to district information, the new times are about five to 10 minutes different than last year's start and end times.
The new times are as follows:
- Elementary and prekindergarten students—pre-K to fourth grade—will begin the day at 8:30 a.m. and be dismissed at 3:40 p.m.
- Intermediate school students—fifth and sixth grades—will begin the day at 8 a.m. and be dismissed at 3:10 p.m.
- Junior high and high school students—seventh to 12th grades—will begin the day at 7:15 a.m. and be dismissed at 2:25 p.m.
Early morning child care for students at elementary and intermediate campuses will also be offered from 6:30-8 a.m. and 6:30-7:30 a.m., respectively. Doors open 30 minutes before school begins for pre-K, elementary and intermediate students, according to the district's bell schedule for the upcoming school year.
