Magnolia ISD announced Aug. 2 on its Facebook page new start and end times for the 2019-20 school year, which begins Aug. 14.
According to district information, the new times are about five to 10 minutes different than
last year's start and end times.
The new times are as follows:
- Elementary and prekindergarten students—pre-K to fourth grade—will begin the day at 8:30 a.m. and be dismissed at 3:40 p.m.
- Intermediate school students—fifth and sixth grades—will begin the day at 8 a.m. and be dismissed at 3:10 p.m.
- Junior high and high school students—seventh to 12th grades—will begin the day at 7:15 a.m. and be dismissed at 2:25 p.m.
Early morning child care for students at elementary and intermediate campuses will also be offered from 6:30-8 a.m. and 6:30-7:30 a.m., respectively. Doors open 30 minutes before school begins for pre-K, elementary and intermediate students, according to the district's
bell schedule for the upcoming school year.
