A new location of Shipley Do-Nuts opened Aug. 14 at 12827 Telge Road, Cypress, in the Telge Crossing development at Jarvis Road. Originally founded in Houston, the chain offers more than 60 doughnut varieties as well as kolaches, freshly brewed coffee and other breakfast items such as cinnamon rolls and apple fritters.

Ceviches n' Snacks, a northwest Houston-based eatery specializing in authentic Mexican snacks and drinks, will have a soft opening Aug. 19 at its new location at at 18379 Kuykendahl Road, Ste. A, Spring, according to an Aug. 17 Facebook post by the business.

Taste of Paris Creperie & Cafe held a soft opening July 15 before opening in early August at 12230 W. Lake Houston Parkway, Ste. 115, Houston. While the cafe originally only opened for takeout, the dining room and outdoor patio are now open to the public.

Penny’s Beer Garden celebrated one year at 1001 FM 646 Road N., Dickinson, on Aug. 16. Staff said the urban farm, market and taproom has not been able to consistently open since March, but it hosted several drive-thru produce events in the spring and early summer with free vegetable and cage-free egg baskets.
