From a new all-day cafe to a place to socialize with wine and cheese, check out six dining updates across the Greater Houston area, as reported by Community Impact.
Fiamo Pizza, a family-owned pizzeria, soft opened in League City in August, said Dior Cannoli, whose family owns the shop. The menu will offer fire-crafted artisanal pizzas featuring house-made dough, as well as pasta and sandwiches.
Officials with the Ismaili Center in Houston announced Sept. 3 that they have partnered with Jackson & Company, a high-end event production and catering company, to launch a new all-day café at the cultural landmark.
The menu will offer globally inspired breakfast dishes, including shakshuka, avocado toast, egg bhurji croissants, beef kolaches and breakfast tacos served on flaky paratha.
Throughout the day, guests can expect salads, shareable plates, sandwiches, wraps and entrees that showcase Houston and the Ismaili Center.
Eagles Nutrition celebrated its grand opening in New Caney Sept. 9.
The business offers meal replacement and post-workout shakes; boost drinks; specialty, beauty and loaded teas; and a brew bar, serving beverages such as the Biscoff Buzz and the Tira Me Brew Latte.
Protein food items—such as waffles, cake pops, oatmeal and snack bites—will also be available.

Officials with Cakery are projecting an October opening for their new location in Kingwood, owner Maral Veysalova confirmed Sept. 9.
Cakery will offer a variety of handcrafted cakes, pastries and sweets, including the bakery’s signature Honey Cake, Milky Bird, traditional baklava, and many other Mediterranean-inspired desserts, Veysalova said in a Sept. 9 Facebook message.
Waygood is set to open its fifth Houston-area coffee shop in Tomball this September, according to the business website.
The coffee shop specializes in a variety of espresso- and matcha-based drinks. Several sweet and savory pastries, including the jalapeno turkey croissant and the blueberry cheese danish, are also available.
After spending 15 years in the hospitality industry, Farrah Cauley discovered a passion for wine and returned home to Houston with an idea: a neighborhood wine bar.
“I wanted to create a place where people didn’t feel intimidated by wine but instead felt comfortable exploring something new,” she said.
That vision became Sonoma Wine & Cheese, a space where people could gather and discover wines from smaller, family-owned wineries.
