New places to find food and drink in The Woodlands area that opened in April and May or are coming in June include a pot pie specialist, a "dirty soda" company, and a place to get tacos and beer.

1. Miya’s Munchies, which offers dishes such as pot pies and biscuits, opened its storefront at 32907 Tamina Road, Magnolia, on April 18, said owner Sumiyyah Harvey. Located within The Culinary Courtyard, Harvey owns and runs the business with her son, Khaliq Harvey.

2. Califa’s Tacos and Beer officially opened May 10, offering a variety of fast and casual Mexican food as well as alcohol offerings. Owner Lucero Torre said the restaurant is focused on offering freshly made daily food based on traditional Mexican cuisine. 3. Golden Hour Bakery opened May 6 on FM 1488, focusing on providing a variety of baked goods, such as danishes, macaroons and cakes. The store is located directly next to the Golden Hour coffee and tea shop at 4849 FM 1488, Ste. 100, The Woodlands. 281-789-4002.

4. Good Charlie’s Oyster Bar and Seafood Kitchen is scheduled to open June 5 on FM 1488. The seafood-themed bar and restaurant offers variety of seafood offerings, with a focus on oysters. The new restaurant is located at 545 Woodlands Square Blvd., Conroe. 936-305-9299.

5. Swig opened May 5 at 2430 Rayford Road, Spring. Store opening manager Stephen Gehman said the business is branded as “a dirty soda shop.” The shop offers a variety of soft drinks and mix-in options. Gehman said customers can create up to 100 beverage options with approximately 30 flavorings. A few menu options listed on the business website include Naughty & Nice, a Dr. Pepper beverage with English toffee and half and half; Waikiki, Coke mixed with pineapple and coconut cream; and Shark Attack, Sprite mixed with lemonade, blue raspberry and a gummy shark.
