La Madeleine French Bakery & Cafe held its grand opening in The Woodlands on Aug. 19, a restaurant employee confirmed. The eatery serves breakfast, lunch and dinner items including menu items such as French onion soup, Crêpe la Madeleine, strawberry chocolate eclairs and sacher torte parfait.

The restaurant offers seafood, such as fried catfish tacos, crawfish roll, gulf po' boy, as well as Cajun foods, such as Cajun wings, loaded Cajun fries and a Cajun bowl. For desserts, the restaurant offers beignets with Vietnamese coffee sauce and fries Oreos.
Located in the heart of Old Town Spring, Buren Bakery was founded by Puerto Rican native Alexandra Astacio in June 2024 to celebrate Puerto Rican heritage with authentic baked goods and coffee imported straight from the island. After two years serving the Spring area, Astacio said the bakery is expanding with an additional location within the same shopping center. The new location will offer an indoor dining area where locals can continue making memories while enjoying authentic Puerto Rican pastries.
