Harris County’s $2.5B bond referendum: What you need to know about voting, flood prevention projects in your area


Early voting started Aug. 8 for the $2.5 billion bond referendum proposed to fund the Harris County Flood Control District projects for flood prevention.

Early voting continues through Aug. 21, and election day is Aug. 25.

The latest information

Last week, HCFCD announced the final list of bond projects to be voted on by the Harris County Commissioners Court on Tuesday at its 10 a.m. meeting at 1001 Preston St., Houston.
