On Aug. 6 the Harris County Flood Control District released the final list of bond projects for the $2.5 billion flood prevention bond election that will go before voters Aug. 25.

The final list of bond projects includes suggestions made by residents in a series of meetings held throughout the summer to solicit community feedback on the projects.

Spring Creek watershed:
Right-of-way acquisition and general drainage improvements: $10M
Investigate general drainage improvements along Spring Creek: $500,000
Right-of-way acquisition and floodplain preservation: $50M
Federal grant-funded volunteer home buyouts: $75,000 local match
Planning, right of way acquisition, design and construction of a reservoir along Spring Creek: $12.5M local match
Subdivision drainage improvements: $1.6M local match
Storm repairs: $90,000 local match

San Jacinto River Watershed
San Jacinto Watershed study: $625,000 local match
