Breaking the Chains Ride & Car Smash

This event will begin with a two-hour awareness ride beginning at Stubbs Harley-Davidson in Houston and ending at Back Pew Brewing in Porter to kick off April, which is Child Abuse Awareness and Prevention Month. Following the ride, a car smash event will begin at Back Pew Brewing at 1 p.m., and participants can enjoy live music, food trucks, vendors, raffles, and silent and live auctions. Proceeds from this event will benefit Bikers Against Child Abuse International and the Humble Whiskey Club.

Hope, Healing, and Handbags

Enjoy a night of bingo with the chance to win designer handbags, including a Louis Vuitton handbag worth $2,500. The event will also include a silent auction, a raffle and door prizes. Proceeds from this western-themed purse bingo event will benefit The Winterrose Crusade, a nonprofit that aims to support victims and survivors of domestic violence.

Bunco Night

Join the local Veterans of Foreign Wars branch—Post 4816—for a night of Bunco. People age 12 and older can play at the event, and attendees are asked to bring a snack or dessert to share.Cody Bassett Memorial Rodeo


The 10th annual Cody Bassett Memorial Rodeo will feature live bands, food, games and local vendors. The main events will be mutton bustin' and bull rides. Tickets are available here. Bull riders and mutton bustin’ participants can register through March 27 by calling 936-433-1215. Mutton bustin' is limited to 30 children.
