The CFISD board of trustees approved the 2023-24 academic calendar in January.
- Aug. 28: first day of school
- Sept. 4: student/staff holiday
- Sept. 25: student holiday/teacher work day
- Oct. 16: student holiday/teacher work day
- Nov. 6-7: student holiday/professional days
- Nov. 20-24: student/staff holiday
- Dec. 22-Jan. 5: student/staff holiday
- Jan. 15: student/staff holiday
- Feb. 16: student holiday/teacher work day
- Feb. 19: student holiday/professional day (inclement weather day)
- March 11-15: student/staff holiday
- March 29: student/staff holiday
- April 15: student holiday/teacher work day (inclement weather day)
- May 27: student/staff holiday
- May 31: last day of school
- High schools: 7:15 a.m.-2:40 p.m.
- Middle schools: 7:45 a.m.-3:10 p.m.
- Elementary schools*: 8:45 a.m.-4:10 p.m. or 8:15 a.m.-3:40 p.m.
