Shea Homes names 430-acre community off FM 1486

Developer Shea Homes anticipates beginning construction on a new 430-acre community off FM 1486 by year's end. The community, named Wildtree, according to a July 17 news release, will include an estimated 1,000 homes at build-out.

Wildtree is located north of Crown Ranch and south of Bluejack National off FM 1486 near Hwy. 249 on the border of Montgomery and Magnolia.

“Easy access to the new Aggie Expressway—which connects the Houston area with College Station—will open Wildtree up to people in both markets,” Keith Luechtefeld, Houston Division President for Shea Homes, said in the release.

Shea Homes purchased the land for Wildtree in January, Community Impact reported.

The community is anticipated to offer buyers homesites, including 40-foot, 50-foot, 60-foot and 70-foot properties with sales launching in 2025, according to the release.

“Wildtree will be single-family residential only, so we want to have a wide variety of homes that will appeal to any number of home buyers,” Luechtefeld said in the release.
