A new housing development is slated to come to the Magnolia community in the next two years.
According to a Jan. 17 news release, Shea Homes acquired 430 acres in west Montgomery County along FM 1486 north of Crown Ranch in the Magnolia area.
The unnamed community is estimated to begin home sales in 2025.
Keith Luechtefeld, Houston division president for Shea Homes, said depending on the market, build-out could take approximately eight years.
“This land checks a lot of boxes when it comes to residential development,” he said in the release. “It has naturally beautiful wooded topography as well as easy access to Hwy. 249, which now stretches uninterrupted from Beltway 8 to Hwy. 105.”
The community is anticipated to have 1,000 homes.
According to the release, the builder is also developing the 700-acre Woodhavyn community east of FM 1488 along Dobbin-Huffsmith Road in Magnolia and the 740-acre Evergreen community in Conroe. Both will begin selling homes in 2023.
