METRORail Red Line service between stations at Fannin South Transit Center and Downtown Transit Center will see interruptions June 13-14 for maintenance work, the Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County announced June 10.

Free rail shuttle buses will run in both directions every 10 minutes between the two stations, according to the announcement, and they will follow the transit authority’s social distancing requirements.

Riders are asked to allow for more time for bus service.

For the most up-to-date information on updates and service alerts this weekend, METRO is advising riders to monitor the transit provider’s Twitter and Facebook pages rather than its TRIP mobile app.
