Roma in Rice Village is turning the stress of Tax Day into a celebration, honoring their 10 years of serving authentic Italian cuisine in Houston.

What they offer

According to an April 7 news release, to celebrate their 10th anniversary, Roma is offering complimentary Prosecco all night with dinner from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on April 15.

Roma was founded by Shannon Scott, who has operated restaurants such as Arturo's Uptown, Simposio and Arcodoro. Roma is located in a quaint little bungalow in Rice Village, offering a homey, intimate setting, per the release.

Their menu uses local ingredients while also honoring traditional and authentic Italian cooking methods. From traditional pastas such as fettuccine, cacio e pepe, spaghetti alla carbonara to squid ink pasta with shrimp and calamari smothered in Pizzaiola sauce.

Smaller dishes included arancini, caesar salad, burrata and fritto misto. Heavier dishes include ossobuco, veal shank with grilled polenta and a braised lamb shank dish with stewed green beans covered in tomato sauce.

Roma also offers cocktails such as negroni, aperol spritz, espresso martinis and tiramisu tini.

Customers can end the celebration with an array of sweet, traditional Italian desserts from tiramisu and homemade limoncello tarts to seasonal Panna Cotta and caramelized apple tart with vanilla gelato.
