Following a temporary closure, Mia’s Upper Kirby, the original Mia’s Table location, will be serving customers once again in early October, officials announced via Facebook on Sept. 20.
Mia’s Table was founded in 2012 by restaurant entrepreneur Johnny Carrabba—the owner of Carrabba’s restaurants—as an homage to his daughter, Mia. Its menu boasts American comfort foods influenced by southern-style, or ‘country,’ recipes.

Located at 3131 Argonne St., Houston, the business temporarily closed and paused all of its operations in mid-August after a kitchen fire broke out on-site, according to an Aug. 17 update posted by officials on social media. While no staff were injured during the incident, the property did incur damages requiring cleanup, inspection and repairs.
Officials shared that construction is currently underway with an anticipated reopening date slated for next month.
